Most Effective FinTech/RegTech Firm and Best Consultancy/Law Firm - Payment Services

The Compliance Register Platinum Awards© have been running for 15 years and celebrates the achievements of firms and individuals who demonstrate exemplary service to Compliance and Regulation. The awards are judged by the independent body ACE (The Academy of Compliance Excellence) based on client nominations and votes, and are fiercely contested by some of the biggest firms in the industry. With a total of 37 awards given out on the night, the event, which was held in London, was very well attended with attendees from across Europe, North America and Asia.

Most Effective FinTech/RegTech Firm

This award reflects the strength of our regtech product pipeline and the development of our regtech business since the appointment of our first Head of RegTech, Paul Morrison, toward the end of 2017. Paul was previously Senior Partner, RegTech at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) where he established and was leading the FCA's new regtech team. As Paul explains “2018 has been a pivotal year for our Financial Institution onboarding and monitoring regtech services. We’ve made improvements to Compliancy.CAM and AR Monitor and expanded these services into new clients, and we are about to launch Compliancy.OB a completely new concept to reduce compliance costs, speed up the onboarding process and improve the customer onboarding experience.”

This adds to our growing stable of products which will, also, see the launch of Compliancy.SMCR during Q1 2019, primarily help firms that have to meet this regulation for the first time in December 2019.

We successfully managed 45 API/EMI PSD2 reauthorisation applications (about 10% of the market) and over 30 new API, EMI, SPI, AISP and PSIP applications. John Burns, Payment Services Director at Compliancy Services commented: “I was thrilled to receive the award especially up against such strong competition.
